Staying Safe During Winter Activities

With all of this fluctuation in weather this winter, there are bound to be some icy roads as well as everything else! Being cautious with your choices of winter activities, you can still manage to get out there and have some fun!

Work comes first.

Before the fun starts, we have to consider things like shoveling the driveway and distributing gravel or ice melt. Make sure you only shovel amounts of snow that you can handle and to lift with your knees to reduce the chance of back injury.

Walking/Running in the winter.

For those of you who are avid walkers or runner’s be sure to make yourself seen to drivers. And stay alert for icy patches; see our blog post on winter running for more specific tips!

All other winter activities.

Whether you enjoy skiing, snowboarding, ice-skating, snow machining, or whatever else you can come up with, remember that safety comes first. Don’t go down the black diamond, unless you can handle it.. Or you may end up coming to see us!
